My work "Graphic Landscapes - Graphic Nudes" is on exhibit from 22 May - 11 June 2011 in Galerie 't Fotokabinet. I'm happy to see that sale is going well, both to existing collectors as to new clients. The show contains over 80 black and white photographs and some polaroids. McLion assigened for Noordeinde Magazine
Last weeks I've been busy working on an assignment for Jaap Holtzapffel, publisher of "hommage magazines". Our latest project is "Royal Noordeinde", a large size publication about one of Holland's most famous streets. My studio/gallery is located just around the corner, which was convenient. Subjects photographed are Louis Couperus (famous writer 1863-1923), the Royal Palace and well known artisans from Steltman Jeweler, Gérard Brussé (coutourier) and Heijm Rijken Coiffure.

Polaroid self-portraits: Raoef Mamedov
Last monday, my friend Lilja Zakirova visited the gallery in The Hague. She was accompanied by Raoef Mamedov and his beautiful daughter Tamara. Raoef Mamedov (born in 1956 in Azarbaijan, living in Moscow) is probably the highest priced contemporary photographer in Russia. Besides that, he is a professor at the Film Academy and director for Central Television in Moscow. His monumental photographs are often inspired on biblical stories and created with models who have down syndrome. Raoef Mamedov is officially represented by www.zakirova.com.

After a long time of preparation, I finally found the right format to publish my work. Art collectors now have the opportunity to order my Artist's Books, which are basically bound portfolio's with 28 original photographs (no reproductions!). Currently I'm working on a combined project (photography and website design) for Haagsch Bloemenhofje, a small and very nice shop at Noordeinde. Margriet, the owner, creates the most beautiful flower bouquets in a style comparable with the 18th century Dutch painters.

Nederlands Interieur Instituut
The Nii (Dutch Interior Institute) asked me to cover the master class on design trends by Lidewij Edelkoort. Li was director of the Design Academy in Eindhoven and nowadays she is one of the world's most influential trend forecasters.
The meeting took place at the Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam, during the fair "100% Design".
